For our next hike, Charlie is going to take us to Mts. Crawford and Resolution, here is his
preview:
The summit of Mt. Crawford provides a great panorama of the White Mountains and Crawford Notch.
The ledges just before the Mt. Resolution summit also have great views. Its a steady moderate climb to
Mt. Crawford up Davis Path. Approx 2.5 miles and 2000' elevation gain to summit. It's then pretty level
over to Mt. Resolution, which is another 1.5 miles. Total hike with lunch should take about 7
hours.
Here is a link to a more detailed description of the Mt. Crawford leg. Note they use the term
"steep" but I have yet to encounter any part of the trail that is steep.

Charlie took us on a hike in the Crawford Notch Saturday, here is his review:
On a sunny and warm June 17, 13 hikers and three dogs climbed to the summit of Mt. Crawford, then over
to the ledges on Mt. Resolution. It was a total of over 8 miles, although a good portion (3 miles) was
on a level section between Crawford and Resolution. At the higher elevations there were nice breezes
to cool us off and while there were some bugs they were not as fierce as they have been. The view points
were all good, looking up and down Crawford Notch, and from the Crawford summit a great view of Mt.
Washington and surrounding peaks. We finished up our day at the Wiley House for some well deserved
ice cream. There we were treated to a parade of motorcycles going to and fro - it was bike week
after all.
